Fibersmith Engineering is seeking a skilled and reliable Accountant to manage daily financial operations and support strategic decision-making through accurate reporting. If you’re detail-oriented, dependable, and ready to take ownership of key accounting functions, we want to hear from you.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
• CPA certification preferred but not required
• 3–5 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Experience with multi-entity financial management is a plus

• Manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR)
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets and P&L reports
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Maintain accurate general ledger entries and financial records
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and local/state/federal financial regulations
• Support audit processes and act as liaison with external auditors and tax agencies
• Recommend process improvements to streamline workflows and reduce costs
• Assist with trend analysis and forecasting for leadership decision-making
• Uphold financial data integrity and confidentiality
