Description Position Summary The Accountant/Financial Analyst is responsible for providing data-driven insights that support strategic decision-making within LifeCare Home Health Family of Agencies. This role assesses financial performance, assists with forecasts, assists with budgeting, and supplies leadership with reports on trends, risks, and opportunities. The Accountant/Financial Analyst works closely with executives, service line leaders, and the finance team to ensure accuracy, compliance, and accountability in financial matters. Key Responsibilities · Participates in full Month End Close, audit, and annual tax filings. · Participates in the preparation of annual budgets and ad hoc modeling. · Assists and manages financial forecasts. · Conducts ongoing budget versus actual revenue and expense variance analyses. · Creates and delivers management reports as needed or requested. · Supports Human Resources/Recruiting in preparing management reports. Key Success Factors Analytical Expertise: Ability to perform complex financial analyses, interpret large datasets, and translate findings into actionable insights that support operational and strategic decision-making. Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of financial modeling, budgeting, and variance analysis, with proficiency in tools such as Excel, Power BI, and enterprise financial systems (Great Plains). Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment with competing priorities and deadlines. Adjusts quickly to shifting needs and communicates changes effectively. Communication Skills: Effectively communicates financial information—both written and verbal—to clinical and administrative leaders who may not have a financial background. Able to tailor messaging to different audiences. Collaboration & Influence: Builds strong working relationships with cross-functional teams, including clinical leaders, the finance department, and operational staff. Viewed as a trusted financial partner. Initiative & Ownership: Demonstrates self-direction and accountability by proactively identifying issues, recommending solutions, and following through on implementation with minimal supervision. Customer Focus: Delivers financial insights and reporting that empower leaders to make informed decisions, always keeping the broader organizational goals and patient care impact in mind. Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in healthcare or service industries. Strong knowledge of financial modeling and budgeting. Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools; experience with HRIS/ERP systems (Paylocity, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar) is preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to present complex data clearly and effectively to executives. High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
