SUMMARY

The Accountant/Financial Analyst plays a critical role in maintaining the surgery center’s financial integrity. This position prepares and manages financial records to accurately track assets, liabilities, revenue, expenses, and tax obligations. By maintaining general ledger accounts and applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), the Accountant/Financial Analyst ensures the accuracy and reliability of financial transactions.
This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to review financial information thoroughly. The ideal candidate will support financial decision-making by conducting in-depth analysis and ensuring compliance with financial policies and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred but not required).
• CPA certification is a plus but not required.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel; experience with QuickBooks is preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of general financial accounting, cost accounting, and GAAP compliance.
• Ability to accurately prepare tax reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently to achieve goals and prioritize work assignments.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
