Job Summary This position serves the organization through the Finance department by performing a variety of general accounting tasks to include reconciliations, state registrations and coordinating liability insurance renewal processes. Principal Responsibilities •    Manage State, Local, and Membership Registrations: o    Work with Harbor Compliance for filing charitable solicitation annual reports for all states. o    Prepare required documentation for annual property tax exemptions. o    Prepare required information for ECFA and other entities requiring financial data. •    Coordinate annual liability, property, casualty and worker’s compensation insurance renewal process, payment, and accrual. This Includes managing any open claims. •    Reconcile payroll related Balance Sheet Accounts, including employee recognition taxable and non-taxable accounts. This includes tracking and preparing benefit invoices for payment. •    Manage Fund Balances, reviewing small balances and correcting any miscoding. •    Prepare monthly FHUS/FHA intercompany invoice. •    Provide backup for other accounting team members, primarily Cash Manager reconciliation, Travel accounts, and Intercompany transaction support, as necessary. •    Other duties as assigned. Job Level Specifications •    Vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a Christian commitment to serving the poor and in full agreement with FH’s Christian beliefs. •    Demonstrated computer operating skills, including proficiency in Google platforms, Microsoft Office products, and virtual technologies such as Skype and/or Zoom. •    Ability to manage and record large volumes of detail-oriented transactions. •    Ability to sit/stand at a computer for up to 8 hours a day doing repetitive motions on a keyboard. •    Able to lift up to 25 lbs. Experience •    At least 3 years of accounting or office management experience. Education/Certifications •    Bachelor’s Degree in finance or related field, and 3 years of experience in office management, finance, or accounting. Language Proficiency in spoken and written English. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
