Accountant

GCG Accountants is employing for the role of Accountant with a minimum of 2 years’ experience. The Position is full time, office based and is available for an immediate start. Salary Rage: $75,000 to 85,000

We are seeking a professional and energetic individual with strong communication, organizational & people skills and can demonstrate the following:

• Bachelor of Accounting or Commerce or higher
• Study towards or qualification of CPA or CA Membership
• Experience in preparing Financial Statements for Companies, Trusts, Partnerships
• Experience in preparing Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Companies, Trusts & SMSF
• Competence in using Access HandiSoft and Access HandiTax
• Competence in using various Software applications including MYOB, Xero, Quickbooks, Microsoft Suite

Your job will include, but is not limited to:

•  Preparation of Financial Statements including Trial Balance and completion of all associated Work Papers.
• Preparation of Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Partnerships, Companies, Trusts and Superannuation Funds.
• Preparation and lodgement of other ATO forms, including but not limited to quarterly/monthly/annual BAS, IAS, FBT Returns, TBAR, TPAR
• Preparation of ASIC reports & forms
• Liaise with and advise clients and other staff members on various taxation and accounting matters in person, by phone, email or letter
• Communicate with the Australian Taxation Office and other government offices
• Assist with other taxation and accounting compliance activities
