HOA/Condominium Association Accountant (Part-Time)
Location: Northern New Jersey
Type: Part-Time
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced HOA/Condominium Association Accountant to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is responsible for the full scope of financial management for multiple condominium and homeowner associations, including monthly reporting, reconciliations, budgets, and year-end financials. The ideal candidate will have extensive HOA accounting experience and the ability to communicate clearly with association boards and property managers.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and income/expense reports for associations
  • Manage accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries
  • Oversee reserve accounts, assessments, and special project funding
  • Assist with annual budget preparation and financial planning for boards
  • Prepare and finalize year-end financial statements and coordinate with auditors as needed
  • Ensure compliance with HOA governing documents, state regulations, and GAAP standards
  • Present financial information clearly and professionally to boards of directors

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of direct HOA/condominium accounting experience
  • CPA designation preferred (not required)
  • Strong knowledge of HOA/condo financial reporting and reserve fund requirements
  • Proficiency with accounting software (AppFolio, TOPS, QuickBooks, or similar)
  • Excellent accuracy, organizational, and communication skills

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30,000.00 - $40,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 per week
