Description Responsible for assisting with the activities of the Accounting Department: preparation of month end journal entries, maintenance of the general ledger including account reconciliations, financial packages, subsidiary ledgers, cash and bank accounts reconciliation, other accounting functions, reports, and analysis as assigned, support accounts payable, payroll, accounts receivable budgeting preparation. Requirements Qualifications • Preferred Bachelor of Science in Accounting or equivalent • Two years accounting experience required • Requires a broad knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles • Must have proficiency in business software applications, including but not limited to: o Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint) • In addition, must be able to learn the other software programs specific to GVH • Analytical and problem-solving skills required • Ability to analyze accounting data and prepare reports
Responsibilities
The Accountant will assist with the activities of the Accounting Department, including preparation of month-end journal entries and maintenance of the general ledger. Additional responsibilities include supporting accounts payable, payroll, and accounts receivable functions.
