Your new roleAs the Intermediate Accountant, you will work closely with senior accountants and managers to deliver high-quality accounting, taxation and business advisory services to a broad range of clients. You will manage your own portfolio while developing your technical expertise and building strong client relationships. You will be responsible but not limited to:

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals.
• Preparation and lodgement of BAS, IAS and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Assisting clients with accounting, taxation and business-related enquiries.
• Preparation of management reports, budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Supporting senior team members with business advisory and consulting engagements.
• Managing client deadlines and ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently.
• Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with clients.
• Identifying opportunities to improve client outcomes and internal processes.

What you'll need to succeedWe are seeking a motivated and career-focused accounting professional who is looking to further develop their skills within a public practice environment.

You will ideally possess:

• Previous experience working within a public practice accounting firm.
• Experience preparing financial statements and taxation returns.
• Strong knowledge of Australian taxation and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Proficiency across accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Progress towards, or willingness to undertake, CA or CPA qualifications will be highly regarded.
