JOB OPPORTUNITY: ACCOUNTANT - HYPERMARKET

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and preparing comprehensive financial reports. Your skills will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting strategic business decisions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Energetic individual with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce; a postgraduate qualification is a plus.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in finance, within the hypermarket/supermarket industry in GCC.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, budgeting, cost control, and International Accounting Standards.
  • Proficiency in accounting and financial ERP software.
  • Advanced Excel skills with strong command of formulas and functions.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial and operational data.
  • Sound commercial awareness and strong business acumen.
  • Experience with various reconciliations (supplier, customer, bank, general ledger, etc.).
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and a problem-solving attitude.
  • Capable of making quick, well-informed decisions.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work under pressure, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when required.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: AED3,000.00 - AED3,500.00 per month

  • Account / Finance in GCC country : 3 years (Required)
Responsibilities
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements and monthly management reports to guide strategic planning.
  • General Ledger Management: Accurately record financial transactions, maintain the general ledger, and reconcile accounts to resolve discrepancies.
  • Accounts Payable & Receivable: Oversee invoicing, payment processing, collections, and ensure proper documentation and timely payments.
  • Budgeting & Forecasting: Support the development and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and variance reports to monitor financial performance.
  • Tax Compliance: Handle tax filings and ensure adherence to applicable tax regulations; assist with audits and inquiries.
  • Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and ensure data accuracy.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with teams such as operations and procurement to provide financial insights that drive efficiency.
