A Day in the Life Supervise the entry and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems. When necessary, train the staff to correctly process and manage accounts payable (A/P), accounts receivable (A/R) and other accounting procedures. Reconcile operating, security deposit, and petty cash bank accounts. Prepare reoccurring financial statements and distribute as required. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions. Assist in the establishment, maintenance, and coordination of accounting and control procedures. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness. Performs analysis work in accordance with company procedures. Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents. Explain billing invoices and accounting policies to staff, vendors, and clients. Resolve accounting discrepancies. Assist with internal and external auditors in completing audits. Requirements Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Accounting, Finance, or Business from a four-year college or university. Ability to drive additional projects to completion. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections. Excellent customer service, communication skills, and writing skills required. Able to multi-task and achieve high-quality results under tight deadlines and changing work priorities. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Computer literate; proficient with productivity software including MS Office, SharePoint, and Google Docs. Experience with Entrata and project management skills a plus but not required.
