JOB DESCRIPTION

AXA Ireland are looking for a Qualified Accountant to join their Finance team.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will be working as part of the Financial Planning and Analysis team, working closely with the business to provide meaningful analysis and be involved with producing the annual financial plans.

You’ll work the majority of your week away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.

AS PART OF THE FINANCIAL PLANNING AND ANALYSIS TEAM YOU WILL CONTRIBUTE TO:

  • Preparation of weekly/monthly management information to strict deadlines; ensuring completeness and accuracy of results.
  • Assisting with the compilation of the annual business plan and the reforecasts of the plan and report our financial plan/forecast information to UK and Paris ensuring accuracy of all returns.
  • Review and challenge AXA Ireland Strategic business projects on behalf of the Finance department including their financial evaluation and benefit tracking pre and post implementation to ensure compliance with group standards.
  • Provide objective performance reporting and analysis on all areas of the business to the CEO and executive team.
  • Collaborating with the business on identifying the best way to present the data to enable decision support (e.g. dashboards/business unit key metrics).
  • Create/design prototypes for visualisation and assist in the creation of dashboards.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and help with the interpretation of data.
  • Qualified accountant with membership of one of the following accounting bodies ACA, ACCA, CIMA - essential
  • A minimum of 4 years experience in financial reporting and/or accounting role - essential
  • Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail essential, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret business needs.
  • Experience with visualisation and Planning Software.
  • The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team and to deliver on tight deadlines, with a positive attitude.
  • Proven ability to work well with technical and non-technical staff across numerous areas.
  • Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills.
    As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in Ireland and/or the United Kingdom.
