Our tax team is growing at AXA Ireland! We are currently recruiting for a tax accountant to join our team, based in either Dublin or Cork. Reporting to the Head of Tax, you'll assist in the management of the tax compliance and planning for all AXA Group companies based in Ireland. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work majority of your week away from home. Away from home means either attendance at one of our head office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events. What you’ll be doing: • Preparation of the monthly Corporation Tax charge and submission of quarterly packs to group. • Preparation of tax returns and associated filings for various Axa group companies. • Advise HR in relation to personal tax implications of issues that arise. • Liaise with the French group tax function, other business departments and the Revenue Commissioners in respect of their tax queries. • Assisting in tax projects in respect of matters such as restructuring, international tax changes and process automation. • Preparation of transfer pricing documentation and coordination of transfer pricing projects with the relevant stakeholders. • Calculation of the preliminary corporation tax payments payable by the Company on a bi-annual basis. • Preparation and submission of the bi-monthly VAT return of the Company and annual RTD return and annual VAT recovery calculations. • Submission of the income tax returns of the Company, in relation to non-payroll income tax issues, for example income tax on shares or on bonus schemes not dealt with through the payroll process. • Preparing the calculation of the tax charge to be included in the Company’s statutory financial statements. • Providing assistance with any restructuring or tax advice to the Company within timeframes agreed by the parties. • Advising the Company in respect of transfer pricing matters. • Calculating and managing PSWT and RCT filings and payments to be made. • Preparation of appropriate tax accounting journals. What we’re looking for: • Must be a qualified tax advisor [Essential] • Minimum 5 years’ experience working in a tax role [Essential] • A good business knowledge is desirable. • Experience gained in a Big 4 professional practice firm or from a large multinational environment tax team will be an advantage. • Strong ability to organise own time efficiently and deliver on tight deadlines. • Strong attention to detail, identifying any potential problems quickly to offset problems or seize opportunities. • Experienced in Microsoft excel, word, sharepoint. As a precondition of employment for this role, you must be eligible and authorized to work in Ireland.
