Under the direction of the Manager of Finance, the incumbent's responsibilities include elements of the monthly closing process, development of new accounting policies and procedures, and consultative advice to management during the establishment of new ventures. The incumbent will be responsible for accounting of the financial transactions, monthly closing process and maintaining financial records, and performs any related general ledger functions including analysis of accounts, preparation of reports and journal entries. Perform complex problem resolution and implement new measures to ensure quality control and internal financial controls. Assists with special accounting and financial projects as assigned. Bachelors degree (B.S.). Associates degree (A.S.) from a college or university in in Accounting, Finance, or Business related field and a minimum of five to seven years of directly related work experience in a financial environment is required. Expertise in Excel and online accounting systems required. Expertise in Information System use and associated applications is beneficial. The individual should possess the capability to interact with various internal and external individuals/organizations through strong oral and written communication skills.
