About the Company
A well-established transportation and logistics company based in Richmond is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant to join their team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working independently, and has a strong understanding of accounting principles in an operational setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions including AP, AR, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.
  • Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, and payments.
  • Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of all financial data.
  • Maintain payroll records and assist with payroll processing.
  • Prepare month-end and year-end financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and government regulations.
  • Liaise with external accountants, vendors, and internal departments.
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
  • Assist management with budgeting and cash flow monitoring.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within transportation, logistics, or related industries.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar), ADP and MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Compensation & Benefits

  • $65,000-$75,000
