Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee critical accounting functions, focusing on payment processing, reconciliation, and financial reporting. The Senior Accountant will ensure accuracy in financial transactions, maintain compliance with company policies, and provide valuable insights into payment activities and reconciliation efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
 Payment Processing:
o Receive and review payment requests from insurance companies to ensure accuracy
and completeness.
o Verify payment details, including amounts, due dates, and payment methods (cheques,
bank transfers, etc.).
o Process payments accurately and in a timely manner using approved methods, adhering
to company policies.
 Reconciliation:
o Reconcile payments received from insurance companies with outstanding invoices or
accounts receivable.
o Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues identified during payment
reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.
 Communication:
o Communicate effectively with insurance company representatives regarding payment
status, inquiries, and discrepancies.
o Provide timely responses to inquiries and requests for information related to payments,
ensuring clear and professional communication.
 Documentation:
o Maintain detailed records of payments processed and reconciliation activities, ensuring
documentation is accurate, organized, and accessible for audit purposes.
o Ensure all payment-related documentation is maintained in accordance with company
policies and regulatory requirements.
 Reporting:
o Prepare regular reports summarizing payment activities, reconciliation status, and
outstanding balances.
o Provide insights and analysis on payment trends, discrepancies, and collection efforts to
support financial decision-making.
 Compliance:
o Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to
payment processing and reconciliation.
o Ensure compliance with insurance company agreements and terms related to payments
and financial transactions.
 Continuous Improvement:
o Identify opportunities for process improvement in payment processing and
reconciliation to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
o Collaborate with colleagues and management to implement improvements and best
practices in financial operations.
Skills and Knowledge:
o Accounting Expertise: Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial
reporting, and payment processing.
o Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in managing payments
and reconciliation.
o Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective
interaction with insurance company representatives and internal stakeholders.
o Problem-Solving: Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues in payment
reconciliation.
o Organizational Skills: Proficiency in maintaining detailed records and ensuring
documentation is well-organized and accessible.
o Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze payment trends, discrepancies, and financial data to
provide valuable insights.
o Technology Proficiency: Experience with accounting software and advanced Excel skills.
o Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with regulatory requirements and company policies
related to payment processing and financial transactions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to AED8,000.00 per month
