Job description: Yellowfin Yachts is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accountant with a strong focus on Accounts Payable to join our Finance team. This position is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate processing of vendor invoices, maintaining financial records, supporting month-end close activities, and assisting with general accounting functions. The ideal candidate is dependable, analytical, and thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key responsibilities: * Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently while ensuring proper approvals and coding. * Match purchase orders, receiving documents, and invoices (three-way match). * Prepare weekly payment runs via ACH, wire transfers, and checks. * Maintain vendor records, including W-9s and banking information. * Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. * Respond to vendor inquiries professionally and build positive working relationships. * Monitor outstanding invoices to ensure timely payment and maximize available discounts. * Assist with annual 1099 preparation and reporting * Prepare and post journal entries * Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank and credit card accounts * Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes * Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation * Support internal and external audits by providing requested documentation * Assist with fixed asset tracking and reconciliations * Help ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and internal controls * Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies Additional Responsibilities: * Support inventory and manufacturing accounting functions as needed * Assist with budgeting and financial reporting * Cross-train within the Finance department to provide backup support * Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned Qualifications: * Associate's degree in Accounting required * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred * 3–5 years of accounting experience required * Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience * Manufacturing or inventory accounting experience preferred. * Experience with ERP systems preferred. * Microsoft Excel proficiency, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes. * Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. * Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Effective written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information. * Team-oriented with a positive, customer-service mindset.
