The Accountant will play a central role in managing day-to-day financial activities, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and supporting the company’s growth with sound accounting practices. This role requires hands-on experience with full-cycle accounting, a solid understanding of Canadian regulations, and the ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
· Minimum 2 years of experience in full-cycle accounting and year-end financial reporting in Canada
· Fluent in English (spoken and written); French is considered an asset
· Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook
· Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

· Manage and execute daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash flow
· Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
· Lead the quarterly and year-end closing processes, ensuring records are complete and up to date
· Maintain accurate general ledger and sub-ledger balances, ensuring consistency with supporting documentation
· Conduct monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies as needed
· Collaborate with management to prepare annual budgets and conduct monthly variance analyses
· Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies with attention to detail and critical thinking
· Oversee tax filings and address any objections or audit-related matter
· Support government audits by preparing required documentation and ensuring compliance
· Review and validate financial schedules prepared by external accountants (T2 and CO17)
· Develop and implement internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures aligned with best practices
· Provide ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management
