JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic financial team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial management and accounting principles, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is critical in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements. The Accountant will also play a key role in mentoring junior staff and contributing to the overall financial strategy of the organisation.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the financial services sector.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft.
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in mentoring or training junior staff is highly desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including ledgers and journal entries.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Conduct financial accounting tasks, including reconciliations and month-end closing procedures.
