Description The Accountant provides superior customer service by executing assigned accounting duties with accuracy and efficiency. The Accountant is responsible for building and maintaining ongoing, productive relationships with internal and external partners. This position provides quality support to all subsidiary companies of Telesis, Inc. It requires the utilization of teamwork, efficiency, and knowledge to generate growth and maximize revenue. Essential Functions · Create and distribute sale invoices · Oversee processing of payments received · Create and distribute A/R Statements · A/R collections · A/P Statement Reconciliation · Process weekly A/P payments · Invoice and purchase order entry · Process check runs · Assist in assembling monthly profit and loss financial statements · Create and enter GL transitions · Assist in the assembling, reporting, and remitting of various tax obligations · Maintain current Form 13’s and W-9’s · Assist in the new assets records as acquired and dispose of assets as required · Assist in the annual audit process, budgetary processes, and year end process · Other duties as assigned by the Director of Accounting and Corporate Accountant Competencies · Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures of an office environment · Experience and knowledge in all Microsoft applications · Working knowledge of how to communicate effectively on the phone · Familiar with online commerce and search engines · Able to effectively use computer hardware and software to plan work and manage projects · Critical thinking skills and ability to predict and troubleshoot potential problems · Ability to maintain confidentiality of company’s proprietary and sensitive information Work Environment This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, scanners and copiers. Physical Demands While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee is frequently required to walk or stand. The employee is occasionally required to bend, twist or reach as well as lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision preferred and the ability to adjust focus between multiple tasks. Classification Salaried Exempt Reports To Director of Accounting and Finance Availability 40 hours per week, typically Monday-Friday, from 8am-5pm Required Education and Experience A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a related field Preferred Education and Experience A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in a related field and two years’ experience in an office setting
