  • Proven experience in a finance-related role
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Sevdesk, Datev) and strong Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Good understanding of bookkeeping and financial processes
  • Knowledge of local financial regulations and tax compliance
  • High attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Experience in a startup environment is a plus
  • Proficiency in English and German
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Hamburg

ABOUT THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Accountant to join our team. This role will take charge of the administrative side of our financial operations. It is focused on ensuring smooth financial processes, including handling invoices, verifying payments, and keeping our records accurate and up to date.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, verify, and issue invoices; liaise with vendors and clients to resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Process payments, monitor transactions, and address related queries.
  • Handle employee expense claims, petty cash, and credit card reconciliations.
  • Reconcile bank statements and financial records; prepare basic financial summaries.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations; maintain organized financial documentation.
  • Assist with data collection and organization for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Provide support for finance-related administrative projects as needed.
