OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in financial accounting and management, with proficiency in various accounting software. This role is essential for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing insightful financial analysis to support decision-making processes.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience as an Accountant or in a similar role within the financial services sector.
  • Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Sage, Xero, or equivalent.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
  • Previous experience in mentoring or training staff is advantageous.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain financial statements, reports, and records in accordance with accounting principles.
  • Manage accounts payable and ensure timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of bank statements and balance sheets.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts, providing insights into variances.
  • Utilise accounting software such as QuickBooks, PeopleSoft, Sage, Xero, or similar to streamline processes.
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights that support operational decisions.
  • Mentor junior staff members and assist in their professional development within the finance team.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
