Responsibilities

THE ROLE

Join our dynamic Finance team as an ambitious accountant ready to make a real impact on the financials of a fast-paced, MDAX-listed company. In this role, you’ll help drive transparency by reporting on the financial performance of key central functions within our international group. You’re detail-oriented, passionate about numbers, and thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. If you’re eager to keep processes modern, efficient, and compliant, this is your opportunity to help shape the future of accounting at HelloFresh.
Above all, we are looking for people who will make HelloFresh better. We believe there are many different ways of developing skills and we love diverse experiences! So even if you don’t “tick all the boxes” but think you’d thrive in this role, we would really like to learn more about you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Own complex areas of general ledger accounting, including month-end close, journal entries, and key account reconciliations
  • Manage intercompany processes: invoice accounting, inventory recharges, loan interest recharges, and AP/AR reconciliations
  • Oversee lease accounting (IFRS 16) and ensure accurate monthly reporting
  • Support monthly and annual financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and HGB (German GAAP)
  • Prepare prepayments, review accruals, and ensure timely submission of statutory reports (e.g. Z5, K3 to Bundesbank)
  • Partner with FP&A, Tax, Legal, Group Reporting, and external auditors to ensure alignment and accuracy
  • Drive continuous process improvements and contribute to special projects across accounting teams
  • Analyze financial data to support decision-making, using Excel/Google Sheets and tools such as Oracle, Tableau, or Tagetik
