We are on the lookout for a dynamic and an energetic individual to join the Finance team as an Accountant (Senior Executive). This role requires to monitor and ensure all finance operations are carried out in a timely and effective manner whilst conforming to the specified accepted standards to meet all accounting and financial reporting objectives and governance in order to provide all the relevant information that supports the division in decision making.   KEY RESPONSIBILTIES * Monitor the preparation of monthly financial statements and justify the relevant accounting records in accordance with accepted accounting standards. * Adhere to company procedures in all sections of the accounting operation and analyse the relevant reports pertaining to the respective SBU’s operational costs in order to facilitate management with effective decision making. * Liaise with external and internal auditors, monitor the preparation of company financials and ensure that the organizational financial practices / processes / procedures comply with the accounting standards and policies.  * Maintain the management accounting database and ensure data is accurate and updated in a timely manner to facilitate financial reporting/ monitoring in accordance with Group accounting policies * Preparation of the annual budget for the SBU and coordinate with relevant internal and external teams to obtain all necessary information for finalization of the budget. * Liaise with cross functional and external and teams to monitor and ensure the timely reporting of daily system transactions & facilitate to prepare monthly financial reports. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with all relevant external institutes including financial and regulatory authorities (Board of Investment, Department of Inland Revenue, Central Bank of Sri Lanka) in order to ensure the services required by the organization are delivered in the most effective manner. * Conduct and review front end and back end functional teams in order to identify and provide insights on how to improve routine business activities effectively and efficiently. * Train, Support and guide the Executives to ensure accuracy and adherence to Group Accounting Policies and standards. * Be proactive in identifying and driving Innovative projects/ providing out of the box solutions to the Finance team increasing productivity * Work in collaboration with Finance leadership to identify balance sheet/ cash initiatives and develop monthly review mechanisms to ensure a steady liquidity position for Intimates is maintained * Adhere to group guidelines and ensure the timely clearance of the monthly balance sheet and accurately project the balance sheet to understand the divisions liquidity position  * Perform additional duties that commensurate with the current role, as and when requested by management.   KEY REQUIREMENTS * Masters/Degree in Accountancy or Finance/CIMA/ACCA/CA * 3-4 years of relevant experience in similar capacity * Computer literate and understanding of accounting software principles
