My Mutual is growing, and we need the right people in place to support that growth. As we transition into this new chapter, we are looking for an Accountant to join our team and continue the strong foundation already in place.

THE QUALIFICATIONS

· A recognized accounting certificate or diploma (preferred)
· Relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping
· Solid understanding of accounting principles and best practices
· Familiarity with insurance industry practices (an asset, but not required)

Responsibilities

· Manage day to day accounting activities, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance
· Supporting the month end and year end close processes
· Process accounts payable and employee expense reports accurately and on time
· Ensure timely and accurate remittance of sales taxes and other compliance related filings
· Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with internal controls
· Identify and recommend improvements to the financial processes and reporting
· Collaborate across teams to tackle new projects and evolving tasks, bringing fresh ideas and a solutions-focused mindset
