My Tax Refund Today is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented experienced Accountant to join its professional team at the Parramatta office. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high standard of accuracy.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

·Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
·Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience as an accountant or equivalent role.
·Experience in preparing financial statements and tax returns.
·Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and tax regulations.
·Proficiency with cloud-based accounting platforms (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks).

• Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with Australian Accounting Standards.
• Carry out financial reporting processes and deliver accurate reports for management.
• Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy.
• Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Ensure internal controls are followed and financial records are maintained in compliance with regulations.
• Support year-end and audit processes by preparing relevant documentation.
• Prepare and lodge income tax returns for individuals, sole traders, and small businesses.
• Provide accounting advice to clients on complex transactions and business restructures.
• Liaise with the ATO and respond to client tax queries.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues to meet deadlines and deliver quality client service.
