Reporting to: CEO
Job Overview:
Nordstern Real Estate LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage financial transactions, reporting, compliance, and support internal controls. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate brokerage accounting, VAT & Corporate Tax compliance, and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) checks.
Key Responsibilities: Financial Management & Reporting
· Maintain general ledger and prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
· Handle day-to-day accounting tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and petty cash management.
· Prepare and monitor cash flow statements and forecasting.
· Assist in month-end and year-end close processes.
· Prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders as required.
Tax Compliance
· Ensure accurate VAT calculation, filing, and payment in compliance with UAE Federal Tax Authority regulations.
· Prepare and submit Corporate Tax returns and ensure compliance with applicable UAE tax laws.
· Maintain organized records to support tax filings and audits.
Anti-Money Laundering (AML) & Compliance
· Conduct AML checks and customer due diligence (CDD) as per UAE regulations.
· Monitor and flag suspicious transactions and escalate where necessary.
· Maintain AML documentation and ensure compliance with the company’s AML policy.
· Assist with onboarding of clients and verification of source of funds.
Commission & Transaction Processing
· Reconcile commission statements with CRM and sales reports.
· Process agent commissions and ensure alignment with internal policies.
· Coordinate with sales team and developers for commission collection and reporting.
Audit & Controls
· Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation.
· Maintain strong internal controls and ensure compliance with company financial policies and procedures.
· Assist in implementing improvements to financial processes and systems.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· Professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, CPA) is a plus.
· 3+ years of relevant accounting experience; real estate experience preferred.
· Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and AML regulations.
· Proficient in accounting software Zoho Books,
· High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
· Ability to work independently and handle confidential information responsibly.
