Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, reports, and statements
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Prepare BAS, IAS, payroll, and other statutory compliance requirements
  • Assist with preparation of tax returns and financial statements for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts
  • Conduct budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis
  • Liaise with clients to gather information and provide accounting support
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax legislation, and company policies
  • Assist with business advisory services to help clients achieve operational and financial efficiency
  • Support the senior team with ad hoc projects and tasks as required

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (mandatory)
  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in accounting or taxation services, preferably within a public practice environment
  • Strong knowledge of Australian accounting standards and tax compliance requirements
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment
