POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Vice President Finance, the incumbent provides tangible support to the Finance & Operations team and is primarily responsible for preparing, recording and administering accounts payable, financial reports & reconciliations, employee expense reports as well as assisting with other financial reporting processes. They maintain and establish solid relationships within the company and with external liaisons and identify opportunities for improving administrative processes. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people and who is efficient in carrying out administrative tasks.

SKILLS, REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

 Completed University Degree in Accounting or related Diploma
 Accounting Designation a definite asset or intention to pursue CPA program or already enrolled
 2+ years of experience in accounting and/or similar role
 Willing to learn and ability to consistently handle multiple concurrent priorities
 Exceptional communication skills. Fluently bilingual (French & English) oral and written (Asset)
 Strong business, operations, and financial acumen
 Ability to develop, analyze and create insights from financial and operational data
 A highly collaborative team player and self-starter, with a track record of independent initiatives
 Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
 Fully proficient with Microsoft Office

COMPÉTENCES, EXIGENCES ET QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diplôme universitaire en comptabilité ou diplôme connexe
  • Le titre de comptable est un atout ou vous avez l’intention de suivre le programme CPA ou vous êtes déjà inscrit.
  • 2+ années d’expérience en comptabilité et/ou dans un rôle similaire
  • Volonté d’apprendre et capacité à gérer plusieurs priorités simultanées.
  • Compétences exceptionnelles en matière de communication. Parfaitement bilingue (français et anglais) à l’oral et à l’écrit (atout).
  • Sens aigu des affaires, des opérations et des finances
  • Capacité à développer, analyser et créer des idées à partir de données financières et opérationnelles.
  • Esprit d’équipe et d’initiative, avec des antécédents d’initiatives indépendantes.
  • Sens de l’organisation et souci du détail exceptionnels
  • Maîtrise parfaite de Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

 Participate in the production of monthly and annual financial reports
 Research and implement new process/workflow/tool changes to improve efficiencies
 Perform month-end close and account reconciliations
 Process accounts payable & employee expense reports
 Responsible for company expense report system (Certify)
 Participate in various projects / assignments to optimize processes
 Exercise sound judgement in the application of procedures and controls
 Other tasks as required by management
