We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant – Operations to join our finance team based in Condell Park. This role is ideal for a proactive accounting professional looking to gain exposure across a wide range of operational finance and administration functions, while supporting senior accountants and management in delivering accurate and timely financial outcomes.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate-level qualification in Accounting/Finance (CPA/CA preferred but not essential)
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills with demonstrated critical thinking ability
  • Exposure to ERP systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (intermediate to advanced)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Current driver’s licence (preferred)

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Accounting Manager – Operations (NSW/QLD), you will be responsible for the preparation and analysis of financial data, supporting month-end processes, reconciliations and reporting. You will also assist in budget and forecast preparation, maintain compliance with WH&S and company policies, and provide valuable support to the operations department.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and distribute daily, weekly and fortnightly operational and financial reports
  • Review, post and reconcile inventory cycle counts; assist with stocktakes as required
  • Raise and monitor indirect purchase orders, ensuring correct documentation is maintained
  • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and on time
  • Reconcile general ledgers, accruals and payables
  • Assist with month-end close processes and preparation of management/financial reports
  • Investigate discrepancies and liaise with the Accounting Manager to address variances
  • Contribute to budget and forecast preparation
  • Carry out ad hoc accounting and administrative tasks as required
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with the Privacy Act
  • Promote and adhere to workplace health and safety practices
