Description We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to lead key accounting functions and support strategic financial planning. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is capable of managing complex financial operations, ensuring compliance, and mentoring team members. This position must possess a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), accrual based financial statements, internal controls, and be comfortable with intercompany transactions. This position will assist the Controller in formulating budgets, forecasts, and management reporting and serve as a backup when necessary. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions and transactions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation. Analyze financial data and trends to provide actionable insights to management. Assist in the development of internal controls and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen compliance. Document policies and procedures if no prior document exists and update as needed. Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes. Collaborate cross-functionally with departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency. Serve as backup to other Accountants. Requirements Bachelor’s degree with major in Business, Accounting, or other related discipline or equivalent experience required. 1 year or more of accounting experience in a business office setting is preferred. Computer skills required: Experience in Microsoft Office products. Experience with Acumatica system preferred. Other skills required: Great attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively. High level of professionalism, team player, comfortable working in a demanding fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, strong analytical skills, and customer service.
