We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our finance team.
This role is critical in ensuring the accuracy of financial records, supporting business
operations, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in e-commerce or retail.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian payroll standards and sales tax compliance.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks or equivalent).
  • Strong MS Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reporting).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge in French will be a plus
Responsibilities

Accounts Payable:

  • Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments.
  • Reconcile supplier invoice statements and resolve discrepancies.
  • Reconcile all Income statement and Balance sheet accounts.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounts payable records.

Payroll Administration:

  • Prepare and process bi-weekly and bi-monthly payroll in compliance with

employment standards.

  • Prepare and process Quebec payroll and comply with filing requirements.
  • Manage employee payroll records, benefits, deductions, and T4/T4A,RL-1 slips.
  • Ensure accuracy in payroll entries and resolve payroll-related issues promptly.

Sales Tax Filings:

  • Prepare, review, and file GST/HST, PST, and other sales tax returns on time.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and provincial tax regulations.
  • Support tax audits and respond to queries from tax authorities as needed.

General Accounting & Reporting:

  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries

and reconciliations.

  • Maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
  • Support preparation of financial reports for management.
  • Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.
