As part of our expansion, We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage payroll processing for our Canada and US operations. The ideal candidate will possess solid bookkeeping expertise, experience handling vendor invoicing and payment follow-ups, a thorough understanding of payroll regulations, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with international teams and clients. Requirements Key Responsibilities: Process and manage end-to-end payroll for Canada and US employees in compliance with local regulations and company policies. Handle vendor invoicing, verify billing details, and ensure timely approval and recording of vendor invoices. Track and manage outstanding vendor payments, perform payment follow-ups, and maintain accurate accounts payable records. Maintain accurate financial records and perform regular bookkeeping tasks, including accounts reconciliation, journal entries, and ledger maintenance. Prepare and review payroll reports, tax filings, and statutory contributions. Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to payroll, accounts payable, and bookkeeping. Coordinate with HR, finance, vendors, and external partners to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions. Stay updated on Canadian and US payroll legislation and accounting standards. Communicate effectively with management and teams to resolve discrepancies or accounting queries promptly. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3–5 years of experience in bookkeeping, vendor management, and Canada/US payroll processing. Strong understanding of payroll systems and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, ADP, Xero). Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Preferred Qualifications: CPA or equivalent certification (preferred but not mandatory). Experience collaborating with international teams or outsourced accounting services. Compensation: Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
