  • A degree in specialising in Accounting and Finance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • The ability to manage complex spreadsheets and work with financial data.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work independently to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software, such as MYOB or Xero, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • A keen interest in continuous improvement and a willingness to learn and adapt to changes in the industry.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accountant to join their growing finance team. If you’re looking for an opportunity to further develop your accounting skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reconcile balance sheet and sub-ledgers each month.
  • Prepare and analyze financial information to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. Conduct account reconciliations to determine accuracy of information
  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
  • Preparation of monthly management reports and KPI Analysis.
  • Prepare Cash flow reporting against targets and forecasts
  • Cost control and analysis
  • Preparation of financial statements
  • Maintaining accounting systems, budgets, conduct audits.
  • Maintaining internal controls
  • Prepare GST / BAS returns.
  • Ensure tax and payroll tax compliance.
  • Report to management and provide support to the finance team.
