Job Overview We are looking for an experienced accountant based in Latin America to support U.S.-based businesses with financial management, reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning .
The ideal candidate will have a recognized accounting certification (e.g., CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent in their country) and at least 3-5 years of professional accounting experience .
This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of international accounting standards, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment .
Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards (GAAP, IFRS, or country-specific regulations) .
Manage accounts payable and receivable , ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
Oversee invoicing and reconciliation processes.
Assist in financial forecasting, budgeting, and cost analysis to support business decisions.
Prepare and present financial reports to leadership.
Ensure compliance with LATAM tax regulations and assist with audits.
Use QuickBooks and other accounting software to streamline financial processes.
Work closely with U.S. teams to align financial operations across multiple regions.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications (Mandatory) Must be located in Latin America and have a strong understanding of LATAM tax laws and financial regulations .
Accounting certification is required (e.g., CPA, Chartered Accountant, or equivalent in your country).
3-5 years of professional accounting experience in financial management, reporting, and compliance.
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software .
Strong understanding of GAAP, IFRS, and LATAM-specific financial regulations .
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills in English .
Ability to work remotely and independently , managing multiple tasks efficiently.
Nice-to-Have Skills Experience working with U.S. companies or handling cross-border financial transactions .
Background in financial auditing or tax consulting .
Familiarity with job-level budgeting and strategic financial planning .
