We are a friendly, supportive, and growing accountancy practice that prides itself on building strong relationships with our clients and delivering excellent service. Our client base includes a wide variety of businesses, with a particular focus on small to medium-sized enterprises, including those in the construction sector.
We’re now looking for an experienced Accountant to join our close-knit team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to make a real difference to clients.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience working in an accountancy practice is essential
• Solid knowledge of UK accounting standards and tax regulations
• Ideally some experience or understanding of VAT in the construction industry (e.g., CIS scheme, reverse charge VAT)
• Proficient in accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
• AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/ACA (preferred but not essential if experience is strong)

• Reviewing and sending year-end accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders
• Reviewing VAT returns
• Preparing management accounts and reports for clients
• Liaising directly with clients to provide advice and support
• Supporting junior staff and reviewing work where appropriate
• Assisting with tax compliance, including corporate tax returns
