JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant with 3–5 years of experience in the real estate development sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting the management in strategic financial decision-making.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong knowledge of real estate financial terms and regulations (DLD, RERA, Oqood, Escrow accounts).
  • Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, ERP systems) and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ethical and professional approach to handling confidential financial data.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA/CA/ACCA preferred).
  • 3–5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the UAE real estate development sector.
  • Experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and regulatory compliance within real estate.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records, general ledger entries, and reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
  • Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with Dubai Land Department (DLD), RERA, Oqood, and Escrow account regulations.
  • Monitor project cash flows, budgets, and cost allocations.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis reports.
  • Liaise with auditors, banks, and regulatory authorities as required.
  • Support management with financial analysis for ongoing and upcoming real estate projects.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all real estate transactions.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements.
  • Collaborate with project, sales, and procurement teams to ensure accurate financial tracking.
  • Handle payroll, VAT, and other regulatory filings as required.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff (if applicable).
