ABOUT THE ROLE:

Are you a detail-oriented accountant with a passion for land development and housing projects? Join our dynamic team as an Accountant and make a real impact by supporting the Manager of Land & Housing in delivering accurate and timely financial reporting. You’ll be at the heart of financial operations, managing reconciliations, preparing key financial statements, and ensuring that every number adds up for our exciting projects. Your expertise will help us maintain financial integrity across multiple areas, from trust accounts to revenue and loan management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements with appropriate note disclosures in compliance with ASPE
• Perform reconciliations for general ledger accounts as requested including Cash, Deposits, Trust Accounts, Accounts Receivable and Payable, Loans, Revenue, and Interest income and expense
• Timely completion of journal entries as required
• Ad-hoc report creation
• Reconcile deposit and trust accounts,validating the amounts recorded in the ERP system against the Agreement of Purchase and Sale.
• Reconcile of loan draw and repayment amounts recorded in the ERP system with third party loan statements.
• Reconcile financial statement line items to project job cost reports.
• Prepare and enter journal entries necessary the for completion of project financial reporting.
• Process cost of sales for land and housing transactions.
• Perform other tasks as needed to support the overall objectives and responsibilities of the role.
