Assemble (www.assemble.management) is seeking a full-time Accountant to join its Senior Project Management and Owner’s Representation team based in Manhattan Beach, California. Assemble has a successful ten-year track record focusing on the management of large-scale ground-up and renovation construction projects in the luxury residential market. Most of their projects are in Los Angeles County, but various projects are managed in other counties, states, and countries.
Assemble’s principal role is to act as the overall project guide for owners pursuing complex architectural homes. They’re most often the longest-term project consultant starting with initial project analysis to finished project turnover. Current project budgets range from $10 to $80M in hard and soft costs and total over $250M portfolio wide.
This hire will be responsible for maintaining and reporting on Assemble’s and multiple individual project level financials.

Assemble Accounting:

  • Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Prepare monthly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, General Ledger)
  • Work with outside accountant to assist in tax-related matters
  • Manage and maintain company insurance policies

Project Level Accounting:

  • Assist Project Managers with auditing invoices and pay applications from consultants
  • Administer and track the delivery of invoices and pay applications from consultants
  • Oversee and maintain invoice records and Schedules of Values for all project consultants
  • Procure and track project-specific lien release waivers
  • Manage and maintain Certificates of Insurance for all consultants
  • Prepare project reporting packages for clients
  • Pay invoices

The position requires competency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Experience of four years or more in the financials of construction projects is required.
The hire will work from an office in Manhattan Beach. Benefits include ten days of Paid-Time-Off, 401k with a 3% company sponsored match, and Profit Sharing. Compensation based on experience; offers will range between $60,000 and $80,000.
