We are seeking a results-driven and experienced professional to join team as a Accountant, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving our operational efficiency and financial success.

EDUCATION

• Must hold a B. Comm. degree from a recognized university.
• Preferably CPA holder or registered in the early stages of CPA program.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, etc.) and MS Excel.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess positive attitude
• Experience in GL and Lease files maintenance is preferred
• Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written.
• Sense of urgency and responsive to changes in a timely and efficient manner
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 3+years accounting experience is required, preferably in transportation industry.
Note this position will evolve as one learns the business processes of transportation industry.

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year

• GL Maintenance, journal entries.
• Monthly GST filings for all Rig group of companies
• Monthly account reconciliations
• Lease files maintenance; Capex files maintenance
• Assist in processing of payables, receivables, collections
• Assist other Finance staff during month ends and year-ends.
• Attend to queries relating to Claims, customers, vendors
• Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
• Prepare, maintain, update cost / benefit (profitability) reports by trucks
• Prepare, maintain, update cost / benefit (profitability) reports by lanes
• Bank reconciliations
• Other duties as assigned..
