Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for multiple corporate and operational entities.
- Analyse financial results, identify key trends, variances, and emerging risks, and provide meaningful insights to management.
- Develop financial models and performance metrics to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare management reports and executive summaries for senior leadership.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead and coordinate annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying opportunities and risks.
- Partner with operational stakeholders to improve forecasting accuracy and cost management.
- Support long-term financial planning initiatives.
Management Accounting & Business Partnering
- Provide financial analysis and advisory support to department leaders and operational management.
- Evaluate business performance and recommend initiatives to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Support capital expenditure planning, investment analysis, and business case development.
- Deliver accurate and timely insights to support strategic and commercial decision-making.
Financial Compliance & Audit
- Assist in ensuring compliance with Australian Accounting Standards, taxation obligations, and corporate governance requirements.
- Coordinate external audit activities and support the preparation of statutory financial statements.
- Monitor compliance with internal financial controls, policies, and reporting requirements.
- Identify and mitigate financial reporting and compliance risks.
Controls, Systems & Continuous Improvement
- Review and enhance accounting processes, systems, and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Support finance transformation initiatives and process improvement projects.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of best-practice financial management procedures.
- Assist with the optimisation of ERP and financial reporting systems.
Corporate & International Reporting
- Support multinational reporting requirements and group consolidation processes.
- Assist with intercompany accounting and financial reporting across international jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with regional and international finance teams to ensure consistency in reporting standards and financial practices.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualified (or actively progressing towards completion).
- Minimum 3-5 years' professional accounting experience.
- Strong experience in financial reporting, management accounting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced analytical and financial modelling skills.
- Strong understanding of Australian accounting standards and financial compliance requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
Highly Desirable
- Experience working within multinational, hospitality, tourism, property, or corporate environments.
- Exposure to multi-entity and international financial reporting frameworks.
- Experience with ERP and financial reporting systems such as MYOB Advanced, Dynamics 365, NetSuite, SAP, or similar.
