Description
We are looking for a talented Senior Accountant to join our team specializing in Finance for Cummins Milano, Lombardia, Italy. 12-month contract with the potential to become a permanent position, depending on performance.   In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:    * Support the monthly financial close process by preparing accurate journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports in accordance with accounting standards. * Maintain compliance with local statutory reporting requirements by collaborating with external accounting advisors and ensuring timely regulatory filings. * Coordinate external audit activities by preparing audit documentation, responding to auditor inquiries, and facilitating a smooth audit process. * Partner with business leaders and operational teams to provide financial insights, support decision-making, and resolve accounting-related matters. * Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and trend analysis, investigating and reporting significant variances and financial fluctuations. * Maintain the general ledger by accurately recording, analyzing, and reporting complex accounting transactions while ensuring data integrity. * Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, consolidated financial reports, and other management reporting schedules. * Evaluate and strengthen internal controls, recommend process improvements, and implement accounting best practices to enhance compliance, efficiency, and financial accuracy.
