Description:
The Accountant role is primarily responsible for owning and supporting core accounting functions such as, but not limited to, the ongoing processing and tracking of Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Payroll, Employee Expenses, associated GL/Journal actions, and Monthly Close.

This role also supports the senior financial leaders and managers, on an ad hoc basis, to perform various data and financial analyses, recons, reporting functions, and other duties as assigned.

• Prepares general ledger entries, fixed asset tracking, monthly balance sheet reconciliation and banking reconciliation.
• Reviews journal entries for accuracy, performs variance analyses and account reconciliations
• Manages accounts receivable aging and collections.
• Assist with accounts payable functions such as verifying invoices, purchase requisitions, data entry and check runs
• Maintains necessary reports and system data for effective reporting and manages approvals.
• Responds to executive and leadership requests for data and reports on sales, expenses and job costing.
• Documents and monitors internal controls supporting GAAP.
• Supports monthly, quarterly and year-end close.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of work experience in an accounting or finance capacity with applicable 4-year degree or higher with a business or financial emphasis
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting theories, principles, methods, practices, and terminology.
• Attention to detail with outstanding problem solving and analytics skills.
• Effective time management skills and ability to prioritize multiple requests and projects.
• Ability to communicate effectively (both oral and written) across all levels in and outside the organization.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of integrity and ethics.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office at an intermediate level, particularly Excel, as well as familiarity with accounting software.

The expected base salary range for this position is between $70,000-$73,000 annually or per hour and the actual compensation offered will depend on the candidate’s qualifications
