Description Shodair is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day, monthly, and annual accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), as well as federal and state regulations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, thrives in a collaborative environment, and is comfortable handling complex financial data. The Ideal candidate is someone who has: Strong knowledge of GAAP with the ability to apply it to complex, real-world transactions (e.g., intercompany activity, audits, unusual entries) High attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and take ownership of responsibilities—especially during close and audit cycles Advanced Excel skills with a strong analytical mindset; able to build tools, analyze variances, and interpret data effectively Adaptable and team-oriented; willing to support cross-functional tasks such as payroll, A/P, A/R, and supply ordering Clear and effective communicator; able to translate financial information for non-finance stakeholders Why Join Shodair? Requirements Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field 2–3 years of relevant accounting experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting processes Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, SUMIF, pivot tables) Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities Effective communication and interpersonal skills Preferred: Experience in healthcare or nonprofit accounting CPA license (or progress toward certification)
