Responsibilities
  • Work collaboratively with the Lumber Operations and Sinclar Finance Team
  • Provide service to both internal and external stakeholders on all matters pertaining to Finance in particular, and other Administration functions as necessary.
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting.
  • Participate in the annual financial audit.
  • Participate in weekly/monthly cost reviews against budget and KPI’s.
  • Prepare the monthly financial statements.
  • Prepare Balance Sheet reconciliations each month and bring material adjustment recommendations forward for discussion.
  • Analyze finance and operational information and communicate results.
  • Participate in and lead projects related to business continuous improvement.
  • Understand and apply intermediate accounting concepts and theories to current and new business activities.
  • Incorporate and uphold principles of internal controls into all activities.
  • Assist in developing, implementing, and enforcing accounting policies, procedures, and standards, and recommend changes to accounting procedures as needed.
  • Work with the management team to help ensure compliance with policies, procedures, rules, and regulations of the Company.
