MUST-HAVE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

• GAAP knowledge and compliance – ensuring financials align with accounting standards.
• Accounts payable and cash flow management – managing AP cycles, vendor payments, and cash flow.
• General ledger reconciliation – ensuring all GL accounts are reconciled accurately.
• Financial reporting and budget variance analysis – assisting with financial statements and analyzing variances.
• Audit and compliance preparation – preparing for external audits.

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

• Fixed assets and depreciation management – tracking and managing asset schedules.
• Industry-specific compliance – knowledge of prevailing wage laws, lien laws, and contractor licensing (if applicable).
• Software proficiency – experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, ERP).
• Experience with Viewpoint is a benefit.
• Construction experience is a plus but not mandatory.

• Perform general accounting functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls.
• Oversee accounts payable and cash flow management, including vendor payments and AP cycles.
• Perform general ledger reconciliations to maintain financial accuracy.
• Assist with financial reporting and budget variance analysis to support business decisions.
• Prepare for external audits (financial, tax, workers’ compensation, etc.).
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to support financial operations.
