We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of full-cycle accounting experience, ideally in a small business, startup, or renewable energy environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong understanding of U.S. federal and California tax regulations, including sales tax, income tax, and compliance obligations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with non-financial team members.
  • Fluency in English written and verbal
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities
  • Oversee full-cycle accounting, including daily bookkeeping, general ledger maintenance, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, profit and loss statements) to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Assist with tax compliance, including federal, California state, and local tax filings, audits, and optimization strategies, collaborating with external vendors.
  • Support headquarters with budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost management initiatives.
  • Review contracts, manage vendor payments and client invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and archives, using accounting software for data entry and reporting.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions to address inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, IRS regulations, and California state financial regulations.
  • Perform additional accounting-related duties as assigned by management.
