Location: Romeoville, IL or remotely Job Description The role of the Accountant is to handle the day-to-day accounting tasks as well as to collate and present accurate and punctual financial information in line with Movu/stow standards and US/IFRS accounting standards. This role will be a shared service for US entities. Key result areas & Key deliverables Responsible for monthly closing activities and preparation of month-end reporting, in close collaboration with the Sr. Accountant and under the supervision of the Financial Controller. Manages the general ledger and completes journal entry postings. Resolves any irregularities and deviations in the general ledger. Maintains and updates balance sheet reconciliations on a regular basis. Follows up on project accounting, collaborates with stakeholders to maintain proper billing plans, and executes timely milestone billings. Maintains the lease accounting ledger in accordance with IFRS16 standards. Produces regular and accurate reports. Completes daily bank reconciliation. Maintains fixed assets, including asset additions, depreciation, disposals, and related reconciliations. Assists with audits by providing necessary documentation and support. Collaborates with other departments and serves as a point of contact for financial-related inquiries. Works closely with colleagues at HQ to maintain accurate inter-company positions. Cross-trained as backup support for AR & AP. Contributes to process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Completes ad-hoc reports and requests as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Associate Degree with some professional accounting experience 3 years or more of accounting or accounting support experience ERP experience preferably SAP Preferred experience in a project accounting (POC) environment Preferred experience in a start-up environment Preferred experience working with a global company Additional Information What do we offer you?
