Job Description This role will primarily be responsible for maintaining account reconciliations which includes preparation and analysis of assigned accounts - primarily related to Indirect Taxes. Responsibilities & Duties Perform moderately complex balance sheet reconciliation activities, focusing on Indirect Tax Accounts. Ensure accurate and timely preparation and review of the assigned account reconciliations. Timely and accurate reporting of reconciling items for correction and adjustments with Tax Returns. Ensure reconciliations are prepared and reviewed in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley, internal policies, audit procedures and regulations. Escalate issues and recommend resolutions to the manager or stakeholders for timely resolution. Document and the SOP/DTP of current processes and incorporate documentation updates as required. Contribute in various and simultaneous process improvement initiatives to streamline processes, improve customer experience, and increase productivity. Assist in audit-related activities. Contribute specialized expertise to different assigned projects and may provide key updates to Manager. Document reconciliations using specific tools as Blackline. Implement and use workflows to enhance process efficiency and drive faster execution Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent relevant courses 3-4 years of relevant professional experience in Finance or Accounting Intermediate proficiency in MS Office tools CPA is an advantage, but is not required Working knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and procedures and internal controls. Experience working with ERP, e.i., Oracle and Blackline Systems is an advantage or other similar platforms and tools Familiarity/ exposure to Indirect Taxes Attributes: Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate within a varied audience and internal and external customers. (Communication) Ability to maintain good customer relationship with the ability to suggest ways to improve customer support customer experience (Customer Service) Ability to be thorough and meticulous in completing assigned tasks and identifying errors, duplicates, & discrepancies through defined methods. (Attention to Detail) Ability to identify and resolve simple to moderate with the ability to provide resolution alternatives by following defined policies and procedures.
