JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on financial reporting, compliance, and analysis. This role requires proficiency in various accounting software and a solid grasp of GAAP standards. The Accountant will play a critical role in maintaining the financial health of our organization while ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and financial concepts.
  • Experience in corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, governmental accounting, or public accounting is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with technical accounting issues including securities law, wills & trusts law, private equity, accrual accounting, and auditing practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, account analysis, payroll processing, and financial report writing is advantageous.     Pay: $57,866.76 - $72,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
  • Conduct thorough account reconciliations for accounts payable and receivable to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage the general ledger accounting process, including journal entries and adjustments.
  • Perform financial analysis to support budgeting and forecasting efforts.
  • Ensure compliance with SOX regulations and other relevant financial laws.
  • Assist in regulatory reporting and audits as required.
  • Verifying and paying all subcontractor and supplier invoices.
  • Collaborate with other departments to support corporate finance initiatives and improve financial processes.
  • Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, or similar tools for efficient financial management.
  • Process payroll for W2 employees & commissions To 1099 Sales staff.
