SALARY: AUD $75,000 - $80,000 PER ANNUM PLUS SUPERANNUATION

As our client base continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Accountant to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple clients and business structures, contributing directly to their financial health and long-term success.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIRED

· A bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a closely related field.
· Minimum a year and a half of full-time, relevant post-qualification experience as an Accountant.
· Strong working knowledge of Australian taxation, GST, BAS, PAYG, and superannuation legislation.
· Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar platforms.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters clearly to clients.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year

Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and BAS/IAS lodgements for a portfolio of clients.
· Complete tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts in accordance with Australian taxation laws.
· Provide tax planning and advisory support to clients to ensure compliance and optimisation of financial outcomes.
· Reconcile accounts and perform month-end and year-end processes for clients.
· Liaise with the ATO and other government agencies on behalf of clients for compliance and regulatory matters.
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records and files within practice management software.
· Assist clients with payroll, superannuation, and STP reporting requirements.
· Support clients with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and business performance analysis.
· Stay current with changes in tax legislation and accounting standards to ensure best practices.
· Build and maintain strong client relationships through clear communication and dependable service.
